Luis Lucio was named principal of Carroll in 2015, after serving as one of Carroll's assistant principals. Lucio received his bachelor’s degree in Academic Studies from Sam Houston State University in 2000 and his master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the same university in 2004. He is certified as a principal. He began his educational career in Aldine ISD in 1994 as a paraprofessional. After receiving his degree in 2000, he began his teaching career as a bilingual teacher at Oleson Elementary School. He became bilingual skills specialist in 2004 at the same school. He transferred to MacArthur High School in 2005, as the Parent Liaison and Ninth Grade Initiative Facilitator. In 2007, Lucio moved to the Multilingual Department of Aldine ISD as Program Director of Elementary Bilingual and ESL Education.
